From May 25th 2018 the Data Protection Act (DPA) changed to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

All pupils starting the school are asked for their contact details, name, address, parent or guardian’s name and telephone number plus also an email address if available. By submitting your details, I assume consent to use it for contacting you and for use in examination and showcase administration, this is all securely kept. All pupils under 13 must have a parent or guardian give this consent.

When I am informed that you will no longer be attending the school records are destroyed straight away. If I am not informed and you have not attended class for six weeks without an explanation it shall be assumed you have left and records shall be destroyed.

I do not pass any data to third parties except to the N.A.T.D. to arrange examination sessions and to the Children in Employment & Entertainment office at the council if you have given consent to perform in the biennial showcase.

When examinations have been taken candidates are allocated a PIN number by the N.A.T.D. I record this together with the candidate’s date of birth for future use when booking examinations. Records of examination results are recorded by myself and then passed directly on to the pupil.
